We Solve This One For You

Story: You look through the kitchen, searching for something to eat, but to no avail. Searching around you find a curious block sitting on the kitchen table. You pick it up and examine the sides. Each face seems to be painted differently, and some of the faces have markings scrawled on them. The block starts to shift in your hand, and you drop it back on the table with surprise. While it all looks like something familiar, nothing behaves quite how you imagine it to.
